UPDATE:
My New DVD, The Improvisation Toolkit Volume 1:
Movement Recall,
is now available on DVD. Order with your Taktaba DVDs, and save on shipping!
I'm happy to announce that Taktaba is now available to purchase on DVD!
The podcast is, and will remain, free to view online or download, and you're
perfectly welcome to burn your own DVDs of the program and even share them (as
long as you honor the terms of the Creative
Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 Unported License
- i.e., you can give them away, but you can't sell them).
However, for those of you who can't or don't want to burn it yourselves, you
can now pay me to do it for you. Essentially, you're still getting the content
for free, but paying me for my trouble to author, burn, and label the DVD, and
to take it to the post office, as well as for the cost of the disk and packaging.
Terms of Sale - READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING!!!
- I produce these disks myself, so you will be getting a burned,
purple-bottom DVD+R, not a commercially-pressed DVD with a silver bottom.
- Burned DVDs play on most home
DVD players and almost all computer DVD drives, but may not work on some DVD
players, particularly older models. Before ordering check
your player's compatibility.
- Return Policy: it can be hard
to tell if a disk doesn't play because it's defective, or if your DVD player
just doesn't like it. So my return policy asks you to share the risk with
me: if your player is listed as being DVD+R compatible but it doesn't play,
I'll send you a second disk at my expense (in case the first one was defective).
If the second disk doesn't play either, you can return both disks at your
expense, and I'll refund the price of the disks but
not the shipping costs.
- This podcast is a "Low-frills" program. I shoot it myself in
my home studio, and the picture and sound
quality are consistent with a home movie, not a professional
video shot on a sound stage. If you are picky about picture quality, you
may want to view the podcast online before
ordering.
- I duplicate and package each disk to order. That takes a while, and this
is a one-woman operation (okay, my husband sometimes helps), so please allow
three business days (after your payment clears) for your order to ship. Adding
1-3 days in transit, you can expect your DVD
within six business days. If you need it for a specific deadline
(say, a gift), contact me, and I'll let you know if I can oblige.
- I ship USPS First Class, which is almost as fast as Priority Mail, and is
much cheaper. I'm happy to use another method or ship internationally. Contact
me for rates.
- All prices are shown in US dollars.
- Taktaba is 100% free to view or download
online. You don't have to buy a
DVD to watch the podcast. Really!
